"And some awful shitheels get born into money and power they don't deserve and use poorly. Look at Blonde Shapiro. He thinks because he's got a good chin and bad highlights and his daddy has money, he can lord it over others."

Thinking, possibly, as to his own nature. He should have, by all rights, been in a fine and strong host, with a family name and heritage to rely upon. But for a twist of fate...

"Flynn? There is nothing noble about him in the least."

"Nope. BUT he has money, that he was born into."

"Never had to work for nuthin'."

"But should he be in charge because of that? Should I be, I dunno, a dental hygenist because it's more useful?"

"No, but that's just... mortal wealth. It comes and goes, does it not? We needn't concern ourselves with their squabbles. That's like... expecting a hawk to be worried about the squirrel with the largest cache of nuts. And...what's a dental hygienist?!"

"They clean teeth."

"So you would be... a tooth fairy?"

A blink and then a peal of laughter. "I guess so!"

He should be making a joke, but his question is just so EARNEST

The little nevers do aerial cartwheels at Katrina's laughter.

And their bell-like peals are drowned out by the bell that signifies the end of lunch.

Arthur checks his notes to see what class requests his presence next...

Siigh. "Back to the grind. Worse, now that you can FEEL the cold, y'know?"

He nods, suppressing a shiver. It's even worse for him, Arcadian born, but he tries not to complain.

A frown at a thought. "Listen, you avoid Mr. Blaine like hell. Just walk away from him."

Arthur frowns, but nods. "Will I see you after school?"

"You going to the castle?"

He nods! "I want to check out their library. The library in school here is interesting... but... Arty already read most of these books."

"There's a library? Cool."

"Has Lavender introduced you to all the horses?"

"Of course there is." He says. "...isn't there? There has to be."

"Sure. there seems to be everything else."

"Right." Thus reassured, he heads to class with a wave!

A wave back, and she goes to her afternoon. No art this semester... but that's fine. that's fine.
