"Well, sometimes they do. Maybe you wait until morning - who knows, a miracle happened? But... if you tell about the special things you see, the regular folks might think you are sick in a different way."

"Yeah.. which is sad. A lot of it's really cool" A sigh "Can. Can I talk to you about it?"

"I think I'l lSPLODE if I never get to talk to no one"

"To me, and I'll bring some other safe people next time I come. But not all of the shiny ones are safe - so be careful. I know, it is scary, and what happened was scary, but we'll figure out how to keep you safe and free. Deal?"

She takes it with a firm shake.

THe boy beams with joy then "Uhm.. are wings typical? Can I get some?"

"Wings aren't, and I don't know how to give them."

"Oh well. I guess I can paint myself with some" he says "If.. if that's okay? Can I do paintings of me and dad with big old wings?"

"Totally! Let's get some brushes and have at."

JR smiles. In his imagination, EVERYONE he likes can have wings

And a happy hour is spent painting!
