To say the Baroness has been busy is putting it mildly. Yet the tours have had her meet and great so many. And she's made a good impression, and been surprised at how warmly they've been taken

She is trying. She needs to do this right - use everything she's been taught, be kind, be patient, be fair, be charming!

It helps that she wants to do right, but it still feels like a tight rope.

"Rough huh?" Blurts Stew

The pooka catches her off guard. Owls are silent fliers, maybe Stew has a soft step

"Oh, Stew! Hey." She puts on a smile, but it shows some wear on the corners.

"It's... been busy. But good. This is good. We've been finding lost kithain."

"Yup. I know. I found some.. there's one though I'm worried about she's totally stunned by the abrupt changes. Trying to be brave."

"Well, there have been a lot of changes." She nods. "It can be a lot. Maybe we can help her?" She takes off her circlet and rubs at the dent on her forehead.

"Oh, have you met Grete yet? She's delightful. A witchel. Knows, I think, every rock from here to the Rio Grande."

"Grete's got her own wrestlmania, the lady I'm talking about is just buried extending herself to be there for EVERYONE.. she's like a boggan in a Dickens novel. "

"Oh no - is Hope alright? I could check with Clarence and see if he could help her more." She frowns. "Or make sure there's less on her plate, yes."

The owl's wings slack "Wrong Virtue" He says "This lady is higher up on the totem pole, in a non culturallhy approvative way. In fact, she seems to think because she's at the top of the pole she's got to carry it. And.. that's not what makes poles strong. " A pause "Tough people the poles. I hear KRackow is lovely"

A puzzled look.

"...Oh.. oh, Stew, you're a dear. But I'm... I'm alright. I signed up for this."

A brow "I'm going to need to see that permit, ma'am"

She taps the circlet and offers a rueful smile.

"Ooo.. I got one from Burger King. " A nod "But my point is, when I was a childling I used to worry, can I fly? Will I ever be able to fly?" Says the childling "But when I became a MAN... I put away childish wings and knew sometimes it's okay to let the wind do the work. Coast to Coast, and don't make a flap all the time"

"And hopefully, things will calm down soon..."

"Good. Don't make me come uphere again" Ahem

"Your majestix" A blush

"Well... I hope I do see you again. It's nice to have visitors."

A grin "Library is slowly taking form.. not enough graphic novels but nothing is perfect. Ah.. about your duties?"

"I promise to go to bed at a reasonable time."

"Oh no, I mean... you haven't painted the hallway yet... going for stick figurees in beige?"

A siiiigh. "Oh, those lovely walls..."

"Right. So..." he goes to a corner ,and grabs a paint can "Either you take a break, and do what you love.. or... I just splash this along the wall" He shakes the can "Blobglob"

"Stew!"

The lid comes off "Grab a brush.. or I go terrorist... allah ack smear"

"Well... I guess priming doesn't take too much brains. You want to help?"

"Well gosh, bend my wing" A smile and nod

And he gets out the primer

"I still have too many ideas for this wall, so I need to dream on it a bit..." She hands him a brush, and takes her own.

"Dreaming huh? Well, seems odd, but we might be good at it, WHO knows?"

"I want to paint these skies, for sure..." She shows him how to lay on the paint, with x-shaped strokes for texture.

"Like this?" He asks following her lead as best he can. He's not an artist, so he takes it slow but is less hestitant under her tutaagle

"Yup! And this is the base coat, so you pretty much can't screw anything up." Reassuring.

"Oh..well " he does relax and takes easier strokes "Challenge accepted"

"Great." And she settles into it - indeed, relaxing some!

The wall is big, but primer is not hard to apply... and as they work with the primer, Sparrow gets to imagine where it will go from here

By the time they're through, Sparrow is barefoot and her circlet is hanging off a lamp. She has a splotch of paint on her nose.

The boy, seeing this, puts an identical splotch on his nose "Now I am one of your tribe"
