"Wait, you're the thieves!" He gestures and an axe flies to his hand

"Easy now," Siv's hand draws her rapier "RIght of demense we'd respect, but like she said, we didn't ask to come here. And I didn't steal that dowry, I rescued it!"

"No! No, we're not!" Then she nods urgently at Siv's statement.

"We were trying to figure out who the dowry belonged to!"

"Where..where did you find it?" the the troll says stunned, "I thought it lost with my bride"

All the fight drains out of Siv "Wait... your bride is missing too?"

"Oh...." A blink, then she shakes her head. "Siv found the dowry..." She looks to Siv to fill in the blanks about where the dowry was found.

"I am Baron Alanbari, blood of Bran" He says Remembering his manners "If you know of my lady, anything, I beg you"

"Of Eurolwyn Tencrown we know thanks to the willowwhisper my lodgemate cast" A sigh "And the treasure I found in the depths" Siv explains how

"I'm Sylvi, daughter of Hearth Kerri and Rover Olgar."

Manners for manners.

"Siv Waveborne, Lady Captain " Siv says

As he listens to the tale then frowns "But you saw no sign of her?"

"I don't think so. And...the Willowwhisper didn't say whether or not she lives." Apologetic.

"She lives.. where ever she is" He sits down slumping "She lives. I can feel the oath of waiting for her like a yoke that I cannot pull upon to aid."

Siv says "She lives? Then why are you here? You have to search her, search the world if you must..."

"Is there something keeping you from seeking her?"

"You think I would be here if I could go after her?" he growls low , a rumble, then "Yes, an Oath. I swore I would wait here for her arrival. Foolish of me"

Sylvi frowns. "Who did you make that oath to?"

"My Betrothed. I thought.. I thought she and I were alone, but I swear someone must have heard. And they used it against us"

"Is there somebody who would want to do that? A rival? Her parents?"

"More than a few. We ourselves did not love each other at first" He admits "it was an alliance politique. But.. well, if you knew her you would soon see why I was destined to fall. " he says "But to narrow it down is hard."

"Well...where is she? Where does she live?"

"In Belltide ..." he sighs

"Begging your pardon, lord, but, ah, where are WE? As mortals know it?" Siv says

"Um...is Belltide a problem?"

"Oh, good question."

"oh, Nova Scotia" He shrugs

"Oh! Cool." Sylvi smiles. "And, um, what's the mortal name for Belltide?"

"Also Nova Scotia...other side . "

He lifts his hand, and the light in the room grows

"oh wow" Siv looks about

Sylvi's eyes grow large. "Ohhh. Your Lodge is beautiful. Baron."

She looks for any sign of a noble house.

She doesn't see one.. indeed, the banners are, plain cloth, no marks. As if they are waiting.

Siv notices this too "it's lovely but.. ah..." She tries to think of a right word , a polite word.

"Empty" The Baron says

"I don't understand. Why?"

She nods to a blank banner to direct her question more clearly.

"I was to marry here and restore the Banner House" he sighs

"Those are really Popular lately" Siv says

"Which Bannerhouse? I've only heard of a couple, but like Siv says, there seem to be more and more."

"It doesn't matter, for it will never re form" He sighs "not without her. "

Siv says "not with that attitude it won't"

Ah, Siv.. .Diplomat

Sylvi elbows Siv, then steps closer. "Baron, I don't think all is lost." She has her hands behind her back, and the index finger of one hand is drawing the shape of a daisy blossom on the palm of her other hand, collecting glamour. "Da'an brought Siv to find that dowry. Then we were whisked here and made it all the way through those challenges to meet with you. This story is not done yet. I am certain of it, Baron." And if she's close enough, she reaches out to touch his arm in reassurance (and with an Awaken cantrip).

He startles and then looks at her , "You have attempted to rouse me , to cast spring upon me? A ..rare art I thought. I am not sure whether to banish you for the audicty, or.." His voice gentles "Thank you for the kindness. I cannot seek her out"

"I can" Siv says "And I'll have help. "

An apologetic grin. "Hopeless people don't often agree to being given hope again. Please forgive me for not asking permission first." She then nods to Siv. "This is important."
