He evades the troubadours only to hear clash boom honk..as Tonto comes down the halls with Cymbals on his knees and a horn on his left foot that squeeks

And then seeing this, he gasps.. and decides to squirm into the nearest bed room.

Salma observes the sluagh slip THROUGH the Princorial DOOR!

"Oh, Ahpuch! Did you come to play? You ought to knock first..."

"it's so loud out there.. singers everywhere" he protests "I only squirmed in self defense"

A concerned look, so serious on her round face.

"Hm. Would earplugs help?"

"maybe.." he says unsure "it would help even mroe if i could scare tehm away with leeches in their cups"

"Oh no, you mustn't! They are guests, under our hospitality. It would be rude."

he sighs "si, i suppose it would be rude."

"It would." Firmly. Then, she softens. "But your comfort, that's important also."

"Gracias." he says

"Maybe the biblioteca?" Suggesting the library. "Lady Constanza will not let the noise come within."

"I like music too, but it is hard to listen and read."

Ellie nods.

"The lib... biblioteca is quiet, yes."

"i am kind of in trouble with Scribe constance." Ahpuch squirms in a different way.

"What did you do?" Peering chidingly over her glasses.

"In trouble? Que?"

"Or.. por que?"

"i might have found some spiders to put in her drawer where she keeps her extra paper...maaaybe" he says

"Porky..." a sigh. "Now I want carnitas."

"Ahpuch, that was no bien. Lady Constanza is under the princescas proteccion! And with all these musicos here, you should go test them. They most will not stay, and the ones who wish to, make sure they are Strong of Heart."

And she turns her face back to her book with a small grin.

"Test them?" eyes light up "like.. a duty to test their resolve?"

"Mmm." Turning a page.

"Mmm?" A look between the two.

"We do need a brave troubadour..."

"I shall be...careful" he says then a pause "I suppose I should go easy on Phoebe. She is... fragile. the difficulty level, it is too low to make it a real challenge"

Ellie considers and nods again.

"You would want a good challenge, si."

"i shall test the falcon, but stay out of sword range." he nods "She is a warrior minstrel yes?"

"And the falcon is proud and fierce."

"mm and maybe the satyr. he is like me.. he cannot make a scream so this will be interesting"

"...Do you think Fontaine could help him?"

"Or... Ariel?"

"Fonataine is good at healing but I don't know," the slaugh says "he had cold iron to the throat you know?" she did not know

"i was curious, i spied. I inquired, I learned " Ahpuch says in his soft whisper "i am a sluagh, you know? it is what I must do beyond just scaring people, or the othe sluagh will not invite me to tea. " A nose wrinkle . Clearly not being invited to tea is quite offensive

"Sluagh are very clever." She nods. "One of my teachers at home, she was a sluagh."

"She taught me a lot about manners. I think sluagh might have more manners than even the sidhe."

"yes, it's hard" he says with a sigh "i like the sneaking and scaring parts of being a sluagh more than the manners but, well," he smoothes his wrinkled clothes. "but it's better than being a whipping boy"

"No whipping boys or girls in Renaissance! Countess Jessica has declared it, and I will make sure it stays that way."
