Having obtained a permission slip - okay, just permission, from her Uncle and Auntie Dear, Piper shows up at the lodge, ready and raring to go. A small overnight bag on one shoulder, guitar case over the other, and brimming with energy as she waits eagerly for Adam and Olgar to take on the trod to Fenix.

Adam arrives shortly thereafter, eager and bouncing with a large packed backpack. Weapons, yes, but no instruments.

Adam feels really weird.. like he had a conversation with osmeone but he can't remember the conversation....

Olgar grunts "Good. You're okay."

"Yeah? I'm ok, sure." Puzzled.

"You've got a unique condition, Adam. Even t o this old Rover"

"Rover," A troll thane greets them .

"Thane Coy, this is Piper... she's here for the contests... and this is Adam.. he's been here before with Zane"

Olgar makes introductions

She gives a smile to the Thane. "Pleasure to meet you." She fidgets from one hoof to the next, not nervous, but bursting with energy.

Adam gives a little bow, maybe not -exactly- right, but certainly showing deference. "Thane."

Coy looks amused at something, "No need to bow to me, young man. I'm a commoner and proud of it. "

"he's a DeBuke..." Olgar snorts "It's like they're seeding every hold they can"

"Shhhh" Coy says, then turns to Piper "Piper, you're welcome here. We've got a few guest rooms here left if you and Adam need one but you might be asked to share. One bed or two?"

She grins at Coy. "I've never met a DeBuke I don't like, though I haven't met many, I don't think that day will be today. I think one bed..." A look to Adam to see if he disagrees.

His grin say he does NOT.

She slips a hand back and catches one of his. "Do you smell it? The summer is in the air..." A happy sigh, even steps off the trod, as she strips off a jacket in the sudden TJ warmth.

"I smell..... food. And, like, rotten eggs?"

"Rotten?" A surprised look and he sniffs the air

Olgar says "One more thing... as Tove has a new boy to tend to and can't make it, and Torin Torad is fussing over him too as a grandpa, Piper will be representing Rivervale at this performance." The troll pulls out a sash with the Rivervale symbol "Here you go, Champ. " He draps it over here "No pressure right?"

Adam GRINS.

She blinks, and her cheeks pink, all the way up to her horns. "No way. You... you're sure? "

Olgar nods "Completely sure. The Chief and Mountain like to show support for their little girl Jessica...and this is a way they can do it without being pushy. Sides, you've earned it. Showing some gumption and tackling this."

She swallows. "I may rethink one of my song choices.... a grin. But... you can count on me! I'll do my best by Rivervale, and with a Crash of the Storm backing me up, what could go wrong?"

Did a flower nearby chuckle?

Adam wouldn't notice.....

She blinks around looks around, and pouts slightly at Coy. "Don't make fun now."

"I don't look like much, but I -can- play!"

Olgar says "She can. Heard her. She's good. She calls my music 'old' but other than that, she's good"

Coy says "No insult given.. .so.. to your room first or you two want to wander around?"

"Uh, Piper, if you want, I can take your stuff to the room and then find you...." Adam offers.

"Or I can come with you, I'm easy." A grin, though it's evident from how she is looking around that she is eager to see what there is to see.

Coy grunts "I see you brougth another friend. Pretty" He nods to the mirrored butterfly/moth

"Well, you're the -Representative- here so you choose." he teases.

"mrew" A squeaky complaint by Piper's hoof.

"Hm?" She turns around, half expecting to see that one of those rascals from the lodge had tagged along, then realizes - "Oh, that's just...." And she pauses, one hoof in the air, and looks down - good thing she does yoga as she carefully maintains her pose. "Hello there..."

There is a tiny tabby who should NOT be away from her mother.

"Oh not again" Coy says looking down

"Ooooh, who's just precious? Adam, or Mr. DeBuke, if you wouldn't mind, halfmoon to tree pose is easier when I'm not holding bags!"

"Uh...." Adam scoops up the miscreant.

"ih!"

"I didn't think we'd meet the Lady of the hold so soon, but that's a voice of command if I ever heard one." Carefully looking around before she lowers her leg. "Aww, who's a little bossy paws?" Some girls have dignity around kittens and small critters, Piper is not one of them apparently.

Coy gets the bags

Adam holds the baby so Piper can see.

"Careful.. that one iis still young. Barely a month, thinks she's 2."

Tabby STRETCHES her feetsies out and squeaks.

Adam cradles her carefully in his hands.

Is he food? She investigates.

"She thinks she's roaring" Coy says "Don't worry, Mamacita will be here shortly"
