"Hm, yeah. Just.. anything weird about your Dad, just now?"

"Uh....no? I mean... he was cool about losing but he's a pretty fair guy. Why?"

She chews at her lip a little, thoughtfully. "Nothing, I guess." She finishes her soda. "You don't think he'll hold a grudge against me for the trickery?"

"If he does, he has to blame me too!" Adam's green eyes sparkle at the memory. "That was awesome, Piper, that was....." He laughs and kisses her soundly. "You're so smart!"

"Not smart so much, or I'da not fallen in the hole. But I'll take sly. " A grin

"Sly. Slick. Smooth." Another kiss, a little more languorous. "So you wanna knock over a lemonade stand or something?"

"Hmm, a bit early for lemonade. Maybe a hot cocoa stand."

"You wanna get some cocoa? Nab, what about you? We have it at my house."

"Aw, we could. Things taste better stolen, though." And she steals a kiss to prove the point.

"Mmm..... Well. Where else could we get some? Or, we could take it from my house and not tell anyone."

A laugh! "We should get home before one of the curfew cruisers comes by to tell us to social distance. Wanna come by my place? You can listen to some of the tunes I've been working on."

"Yeah....." avid interest. "Nab, you coming?" hopeful.
