Frank brings his club down on that extended arm to shatter it, if he can.

Shatter it does not, but he hurts it, oh yes, if not for that armor he boasted of, the balor's elbow would be removed form it's fleshy sleeve

And then a whisper "Who's that climbing on my bridge? Tromp tromp tromp..." And glamour flows from the sluagh.. quick silvering the Balor!

And the balor smiles.. as suddenly Frank finds his branch struck at, in fact, cut in half by one, two, three blows!

The sound of heavy feet, running.

Approaching.

And they're attached to somebody who is none too happy.

And a trusty English Springer Spaniel! WHich is... well, less intimidating I'm sure

Frank steps forward (when he can) to close the distance so his itty-bitty tree can make contact, and shoves the cut/angled end into the Sidhe.

Brekke bursts into the clearing where the fight is happening. She spots the Balor...and BELLOWS at him! A wordless yell of anger and near-rage!

The raw might of frank's blow drives the splitered end of the tree into the balor's side through the chain, but the sidhe strikes in a flurry of blows which carves whole chunks out of frank, an X pattern along his arm and chest

Then the Balor seems to hear the Bellow, turns "I will require your magics, Wytherfell"

And Brekke retaliates as the sidhe strikes at Frank, Speaker carving an arc in the air.

The sluagh tries to chant or evoke magic, only to find an English Springer spaniel on him, who seems to mistakenly believe she's a pitt bull

Frank loses his grip on his weapon, perhaps understandably.

A shield rises to catch Speaker....

Speaker doesn't seem to care as the shield is dented and warped on the first blow

Brekke attacks the Balor as if he were a stack of logs to be split before winter.

Brekke takes a slash across her face and... the Balor ? TGhe balor might not have a face after this as his helmet fares little better than his shield did

He cries out in pain..."No..damn Seelie filth i..."

She strikes again and again.

Frank staggers back and drops.

The sword gets another hit... delving into Brekke's Leg... but Speaker does not believe in Equal treatment... and the balor is torn in two... torso severed!

The coma victim that was once a sidhe slumps

Furious, Brekke approaches the sluagh being harried by the pooka. "Why did you come here?" She demands.

"Tell me true," she adds as a warning.

the sluagh that the pooka whispers "To gather the lunar gift..." He would whine louder if he could

but it's ..true

"You would steal from my lands? You and your twisted lord?"

"..." He seems unsure what to say. Tell true, but is he really expected to answer YES?

"Look!" she gestures at the mortal in a coma. "Do you see the prize you have won?"

The sluagh nods 'yes yes.. I see him"

"We.. I.. never wanted to encounter you, we hoped to avoid" he rasps

Brekke scowls at the sluagh. "This does not help your case, thief." She turns to Frank...and perhaps only now realizes how badly hurt he is.

A now humanoid pooka points a gun at the sluagh "I'm your Huckleberry" Growling

"Got him covered chief"

A nod to Tiffany, and she kneels by Frank's side. "Can you speak?" she asks while assessing his wounds.

He can, but the mauled condition is not pretty to look at. Yet Frank also notices his lady's face is badly gashed

Frank is on the forest floor, bleeding, and not moving well or much.

"Hurt." He gestures to her with concern.

"Sorry.... "

"Not badly," she says, then hunts around them briefly in the dark, gathering up three different types of leaves. She puts them in her mouth and chews them several times, then takes the chewed leaves out of her mouth. She mixes them with some of the blood from the wound on her face, and marks a rune on it all with her finger.

And Frank passes out

He sighs and his eyes slip shut.

A voice comes up, "Chieftain, your pardon, it's Jonas, is that you?"

Her eyes grow large, and she quickly applies the bunk-mash to the worst of his wounds.

"Here, Jonas," she answers brusquely. Then she looks back over her shoulder to glare at the sluagh. "He must not die. Do you understand?"

Tiffany nods "Habla El Jeffe"

Jonas comes into view, then says "How do you wish me to assist?"

Hoping the Heatherbalm has stabilized Frank enough, Brekke bends to pick him up. "I must get the Mountain back to the Lodge. The mortal who was a balor sidhe lies there. Thane Tiffany guards his accomplice, there. They sought to claim what they called a moon gift. See that this sluagh depart with his former lord's body. Retrieve the moon-gift and bring it to the Lodge."
