After wrestling a furious Gwydion down, the Sprigan has little chance now that he's exposed. Frank snags him and brings him to the ground.

Frank very simply pounds the creature's head with his fist until it stops moving, and he takes the bag off him.

THe fellow tries a bunk "Shadows and spi-" But whatever he was going to say , well, it's hard to bunk when a troll nearly breaks your nose.

Like John Henry vs the machine, Dagmar swings and hits - falling into a routine of thallian-busting.

And then there's Vali, outside on the street, who freezes the breath and lungs of Thallian, then brings his hammer into those chests ...ice actually comes out of their nostrils

Frank makes sure the boy in the bag is safe. "Stay in there, don't come out. We got you!"

As for the Chief, shake rattle and roll indeed, as the first three thallian burst like over ripe melons thrown off a roof. The back three are 'merely' greviously wounded.

And she wades into that mess, Speaker finishing the work that needs doing.

And the Thallian... are all dead or defeated.

Frank stations himself near the mortals, protecting them.

Brekke turns to look back on the road, only to see Vali and Olgar have cleared the few that remained on the street.

"Hm," she says as she straightens from her fighting crouch. "I almost feel that I have overreacted. Who is hurt?"

Frank feels... kind of woozy

Grunt. Dagmar's fine armor is dented in several places.

"She, um....." Frank balances himself. "She was hurt before this started. Check on ..... on the boy. What are you doing here?" He asks stupidly.

"Sit," she orders him. He gets her attention first.

She checks the fallen, to see if any are still living.

"No, the woman.... she needs medical at....attention."

Many are chimerically dead. Some are mortally dead.

She seems taken aback at that.

"You first. Then her. Sit." She pauses, looking at him...then wastes no further time and kisses him, firmly.

And Brekke notices a needle in frank's leg. Some sort of venom

"Mmphm!" Surprise -must- be what causes him to fall into the chair.

She helps him make a safe landing in the chair...and then she notices the needle. "What is...." A scowl, and she yanks it out of his leg.

The heather balm seems to have helped, but Frank still looks..weak

"Frank...." She is alarmed.

Dagmar finds one of them alive and barely conscious

"This one's alive."

"Hey - you. You one of them that had the satyr kid?"

Brekke steps away from Frank and to the window, calling down, "Vali!"

Frank blinks, bleary, and looks up at Brekke. "Are they ok?"

"Satyr... " A blinking eyes "You found little shit? heh.." the twiasted creature grins 'how about that"

Vali looks up, eyes dark and triumphant, then he sees Brekke's face and it dims "Chief?"

"Yeah, we found him. You stole him?"

"Here! Now!"

Vali doesn't waste time, looking at Olgar. Olgar nods and taps Vali on the back. Vali Hopscotches up through that hole. "Here"

There are others who need to be healed, but Brekke is urgently focused on Frank's condition.

Frank starts to feel pain to go along with that weakness.

A stoic grunt at that.

"Brekke.... the woman needs help -now-."

She points at Frank. "A needle in his leg. He is weak."

A glare at Frank, one only a wife can give to her husband.

He shakes his shaggy head. "She needs help." Doggedly.

"Can you slow it?" she demands of Vali. Then, "Yes," to Frank, hurriedly.

"Good money in getting kids to folks..." The Thallian prisoner says to Dagmar "Sprigans love to sccare em...only, he was n't a mortal so we din't sell him..we put him to work..heh"

"How'd you get him?"

"Vali....." He rumbles foggily. "You promise me she's ... she.... help?"

"Yes." Val says "Hold still, Frank." And he touche's Frank's brow "The River Termec, in Winter"

And Frank...freezes...suspsended in status

Brekke turns from Frank when Vali starts to work, and goes to the beaten woman.
