Up this close, she can see through the space in the door that others are talking to Colton. Perhaps a closed meeting

"Baroness Derynwydd. Colton's liege."

A few mutter in concern...

one troll woman, lovely and wearing the Star and moons tilts her head, "Well, things just got more interesting" as she adresses a troll with no sign of noble loyalty but wearing a Hawkeye logoed shield.

An eyebrow, again, the a nod. "Lady Eiluned."

"Right. " the pooka says "Well, right now he's in a proference. It's like a conference but we hope it leads to more positive things. "

"Please tell him that Sparrow is here?"

"Right" He says and goes in to the crowd

Well, inside to whoever

and out comes a Ghille Dhu, rare kith to be sure. He appears to be taking shifts

She waits.

And the door swings open as Colton himself comes out she can hear "are you crazy making her wait like.."

"Regent Colton." A nod.

WHen he sees her , he bows, habit as much as anything, "My liege. I'm very sorry, everyone seems to want private audiances... after awhile it seemed the best way to discourage it was to make folks wait in a line.. but it still..." At the word Regent he blushes "Yes... please, come in. It's.. really a nice hold"

"Well... there are some things I can suggest. And yes, I see your touch on it."

A blush "Forgive me all, but this is Baroness Derynwydd, my liege, and a friend. I'll be talking with her for a bit. Guys just let the others in"

"What I was going to suggest. Let them buzz around the hall, and have a privy chamber."

He looks nervous but nods, "Please, this way" He motions to her to head towards what looks to be a study, "I Hope this will do? " It's no library like in Earth Runes. It's small, efficient, but private, and there are two chairs.

"Breathe. Looks like you are doing fine in a complicated situation."

He closes the door, "Oh you have no idea. It's bonkers. It's a troll lodge, but there's a dark gate that holds a formorian Lt. The Eiluned are willing to hold back their claim and support us but they want an Eiluned Troll stationed at the lodge, but I think theyh're hoping the chief will be of House Eiluned. The DeBukes are superhelpful but they don't like nobles... and the motley that got here claims they were here first which is a fair gripe, but some of them are okay with a lodge as long as they get some special treatement which seems fair."

"Right."

"So, no, we aren't making an Eiluned stranger Chief."

"Sylvi is mediating between this uber traditionalist Count of Dougal who wants a Gwydion sidhe noble here to rule 'properly', and the Duke, who IS a troll ,but he was elected.. and a Fiona"

"So She's kind of playing them off each other enough to buy time" He rubs at his horns.

And she can see his arm... his once glorious glass arm, replaced by one crafted of metal, some stone, and glass remnants. Most of it is turning to copper

"And Brekke wants this to be a lodge, by hell or high water."

A frown as she spots the arm.

"You ask me, the fire already has one strong claimant."

"I couldn't be a chieftain, a Storm maybe. I'm good in a fight," He says then notices her look, and sheepish ly "I kind of had to sacrifice the glass arm to fuel the spell that imprisoned the fomorian officer"

"Right. But you wouldn't have to hold it alone."

"And.... it would be easier, as a knight."

"Well, that's true," He says "Squire is not getting any respect around here. The sidhe act like whatever I say is probably going to be just undone next week. If it wasnt' for Chieftain Brekke backing me... and yes, she wants it to be a lodge. To be fair, as long as there's been a balefire here, it's been a lodge. That's its history and heritage. I GET That, but wow. Some of the people here... this place has been a glamour wasteland and it's like teeling them I found a fruit tree but they have to wait until I decide who gets which banana slice. I mean, I grant haven, but wow"

"So - not chief yet. But yes, certainly a knight. One who can act on his own authority."

"Wait, what?" He says "Oh," A nod, "yes. I suppose I see your point. I guess I wouldn't be the first knight entitled for political reasons. " He admits "I'm sorry. I'd really hoped to earn it"

She flicks her wings,

"You earned it, dammit."

"You think I would do it for expediency?"

"I.." He looks at her, "If it saved people or a balefire? Maybe? You always seem to work for the greater good, even when it means you're not always happy." A cough "SOrry for saying so"

"And you have saved people. And sacrificed yourself for the greater good. What other lessons of chivalry can I teach you? You are a knight."

"All that needs to be done is to have the Dreaming acknowledge it."

He smiles weakly, "yeah?"

"Yeah. Now - kneel."

The weak smile turns to resolute action, and he drops to one knee

She draws her rapier - an elegant blade, swept-hilt and deadly. But now, it seems to hum in anticipation.

"Kneel, my vassal, Squire Colton. May all know that you have proven yourself in word, in deed, in loyal service. May the dreaming proclaim you a man of honor and chivalry." The blade tapes his left shoulder, then his right. "Rise, and face the world as Sir Colton Shatterglass. Knight."

His voile shifts, the armor somehow looking finer, more reflective, and his arm is indeed copper, but it strengthens, regaining something of the magic that was lost from the glass one. His shield gains nordic runes marking it, but also a small sparrow design like on the wood

She smiles, but she looks... sad.

And he rises "Baroness I," She can see his eyes almost mist over, but stoic troll that he is, they don't let a tear form

"I hope I prove worthy " He says

"You already have. Really."
