"I...it..." Brekke starts to answer Gerd, then looks to Emmit. "You cannot tell where that was?"

"Which part? The fact that there is apparently someone out there I can't scry worth a damn? That witche's attempt at sovereign, or when someone choked an oath out of her?"

It takes him a moment. Then he takes it out and stares rumbly at it.

It rings again. Insistent

Annoying.

Brekke turns. "Frank. It is she. Answer it."

He opens it and pushes the green button, listens.

"DAD? " A rough voice "I know I sound different, but it's your second born daughter who has probably REALLY Pissed you off. I've got a hold of angry leanhaun knights and worse after my ass and I'm driving towards interstate 55 northbound... in a stolen car. I could use some driving advice for the best way to lose some assholes and not get pulled over for speeding!"

Frank starts running for the Rig. "Can you hide?"

"THey've got these chimera flying after me... I'm shielded from them! It's like annoying flying monkeys out to tattle on me. GOOD news is , I've solved our problem. Bad news is it wn't do any good if some damn knight gets lucky"

Bancroft chases after Frank and actually gains

"Frank!" Brekke starts after them. "Gerd, come on. Emmit, can you go to the Lodge, tell Kerri."

"Will do, Chieftain."

"Where to, Chief?" Gerd says following and perhaps it is funny that the newest wilder is giving the Chief the least trouble right now

"Where exactly are you, state and mile marker?"

"Can you flicker-flash somebody else, reliably, Gerd?"

She gives it. Looks like she's in the lower part of Mississippi, approaching Hattiesberg

Gerd answers "Yes... I mean, if they're near me. I can't PULL them here "

A deep breath. "I may need to ask you to go to her, and she is in danger, then bring you both back. Understood?"

"I.." A pause "Chieftain. I can't go to places I haven't been."

Brekke stops, looks at the girl, then shakes her head in resignation. "No. Understood. Then...nevermind."

Gerd looks ashamed, "I'm sorry. teleporting to who is hard without a link and my link isn't strong enough to.." A thought "Hold still , Chieftain. I might be able to send you to her. Magic works... works like that. Blood...family. TIGHT family"

Bancroft and Frank are at the rig

"No...not me. Frank." She gets to the Rig. "Frank, Gerd might be able to send you to her. You could help her...better than I could." A tight-jawed admission.

"I can't go, can I?" Bancroft says wincing, realization, "I can't.. be there for her."

He looks in PAIN.

Frank looks like he doesn't care. The Rig was locked so Bancroft might be standing there as he thunders up and swings onto the running board to open the door. Then Brekke's words stop him. He turns to look at her. "You're the Storm." He points out.

"Frank, you know the roads, you know the routes to escape. Help Her!" Brekke is nearly yelling.

"FIGHT send the storm, Flight send the mountain" Bancroft says "That's the tactics"

He nods and relocks the Rig. "Send me." He tells Gerd, hopping down.

"I do not have time to play marriage counselor!" Gerd growls when Frank finally speaks "Save her, Get back. Fix this. I'm 12 and all ready too old for this shit!" And she kicks frank in the shin

And Frank vanishes

Brekke urgently whispers "She looks like..." but poof...he's gone.

"Now we wait," Bancroft says

A blank blink, then she looks to Gerd. "Can you tell if it worked?"

"he's gone.. that means I got the first part right" She says "not sure I stuck the landing"

"Gerd? What does that mean?!"

"It means I know the magic got him, but how fast it will take in I don't know... he might be off, but the bigger threat is time.." Gerd rubs at her dark make up, "he could be there NOW... he .. he could be there an hour from now. "

"An hour from now?" Brekke stares at the spot where Frank was.

"Send me, then. If he is not with her now, she needs somebody by her side. Send me."

"I can't... I'm... tired" Gerd blushes "I spent glamour ot make sure it worked and.."

Bancroft puts his hand on the younger girl "Take mine." And he dims

She digs into her pouch and thrusts a handful of dross at the girl.

Then looks at Bancroft. "Thank you. But be careful."

"HEY ... I... Okay okay.." She takes that glamour AND the dross and says "BOUNDARIES will be discussed later both of you" And the dross is drained as she punches her chieftain in the arm

And Brekke vanishes

"Where... I need to..." Bancroft staggers ...
