She's getitng sucked into a tornado. She grabs onto a tree, but... it's up rooted. She's gonna freaking die...

This is it, and not a fuckin' thing I can do... nothing to bite, teeth useless.... She snarls in empty defiance.

There's a huge thud and... down she goes did she just ride a tree to...where is she?

And why is there a dead woman under her?

well, under the tree she rode in

She looks around carefully, on alert, then examines the dead woman.

Why is everything around here so bright... oh crap. Maybe she should look for a dog. There downed woman has green skin, a wart, stripped socks, ad ..blood red slippers?

"Oh yeah" A voice says, "You're someone who's going to work a bit easier than the last bitch I had to hire for a hit"

No sooner does Alexis touch the blood red slippers when..she's wearing them!

And the figure behind her ? She maybe dressed in a sparkly dress, but it's a bit thread bare, and her wand appears to have cigarette smoke out of it.. Whoever this woman is, she's seen better days

She turns to the ... woman?.... her face set in a snarl of redcap rage. "Ok. What gives?"

Sparkly smoke comes out of the woman's mouth, "What's it look like, you just proved yourself by killing a witch. I need a witch killer..." She takes another drag of her wand, "Last girl I had for the job did well, the rest since then? Wimps. You? you look like you might have the edge I need"

"Lady, I got edges all over, an' you're 'bout to get cut. What the fuck should I work for you?"

"Because you have the magic slippers, but you don't know how they work. I do"

"Also you're trapped in a pocket dimension in the Dreaming that doesn't have any regular trods. You see a way home, honey?" There are no.. no silver trods

The woman floats backwards on the first click and chant... the second she's got a distance, and the third she looks up "You might want to dive for cover"

A shadow forms around Alexis. SHe looks up and sees..holy shit, theres a house about to fall where she's at

Okay, it's not a large house, indeed, it's tiny house terriotory, but if she hadn't moved..it would have been her feet under there stripped socks or not.

"You thought it would be that easy?" the woman laughs

"Hey, it's up to you, you do a job for me, you get a way home, a treasure that you know how to control, and the thrill of the hunt. Don't? Enjoy the midgets.. pardon, 'little people'. Half of em are junkies anyway. Poppy Fiends"

"Four witches, sharing territory, one of them just got killed... 3 shares mean more for me..one share, would mean even more. Capiche?"

Sparkly smoke gets blown into the redcaps's face from the floating witch..the..good one "Don't whine. I hate a hit girl who whines."
